施設の建物は津波で流されてしまったため
今は部屋を借りて集まっているという老人ホームへ
３月１１日は大きな揺れの後に公民館に非難し
津波はその３階建ての公民館の２階の天井にまで達し
そして船舶用燃料タンクのオイルが炎上して
非難していた公民館も炎にのまれてしまうのではないかと覚悟したそうです
その後、ロンドンにいる園長先生の息子さんのツイッター投稿を通して
３日目にヘリコプターで救助されたのこと
この日は４人の小学生の子どもたちが来ていました
私たち教会チームとアイリスチームで自己紹介をして
１階のホールでパラシュートを使ったりしてゲームをしました
その間、お母さんたちやスタッフの方々とお話をしたり祈ったりしました
片方の目がほとんど見えないという女の子がいました
クリスチャンと私で彼女のために奇跡を祈りました
即座の癒しは見られなかったけど、神様が触れてくださったことを信じています
でも。。。！！！
その後クリスチャンが言っていました
時間をかけて癒しが起こることはもちろんあるけど
即座の癒しも見たことがある
神様はそれができるんだから
神様のベストを体験していきたい
心にチャレンジを受けました
癒しとかの祈りをするときに
一番欲しい癒しを期待しきれずに祈ってしまうことがどんなに多いかと
どうしてそうなのか
どうして神様のベストを見ていないのか
考えました
期待してがっかりするのが嫌だから？
神様の愛は癒しを見なくたってあるから？って言い訳？
でも愛があるなら
あえて踏み出して期待することができるはず
神様は喜んでベストの奇跡をくれるはずなのに
もっともっと
神様の愛の啓示が欲しいと思いました
もっともっと
求めていきたい
Yesterday, we went to a day service center for special needs children in Kesennuma.
We met 4 children and their parents and the staff working there.
Their building was washed away by the tsunami, so we saw them at the day service for the elderly that they have been using for their service too.
On the day of the earthquake,
they evacuated to a community center after the big shaking.
The tsunami reached the ceiling of the second floor of the building.
And just when they survived the shakings and the tsunami,
they saw the flame covering the water.
The fuel for the big ships from the port had caught fire.
They all feared the worst.
But the fire didn't come to the building,
and they waited for 2 days until on the 3rd day the helicopter rescue came!!
The principal's son who lives in London had received a short message from his mother,
and had twittered asking for rescue.
The message spread quickly and led to the rescue.
So yesterday, there were 4 elementary school age children at the center.
We introduced ourselves and then played with the children and the staff.
Some of us talked with the mothers and staff and prayed for them.
We prayed for a little girl's right eye for healing.
We prayed for a miracle.
We didn't see a instant healing, but God touched her.
But!!!
After that, Christian who is the co-leader of the Iris team said something that challenged me.
He was frustrated that we didn't see any instant healing take place.
He said that of course, sometimes healing takes place gradually.
But he has seen instant healing too.
God can do it.
He said he wants to see God's best for people.
I felt very challenged.
So often when we pray for healing, we don't quite expect what we really want to see.
But why???
Why are we not seeing God's best in people's lives???
I realized that I was afraid to be disappointed.
I was telling myself that even if they can't see complete healing there and then, they can still experience God's love. But was that just an excuse?

If we risk for love,
we would dare expect more, God's best for them,
because we know that God is more than happy to give the best to them to show His love.
Risk for love then God will do the miracle.
It is our job to love, and God's to heal.
So want more revelation of His love in our lives!
